The why
Cars saved our lives.
It's 11pm. Nothing is wrong enough to call anyone about, and nothing is right enough to sleep on.
Nobody sold you that as therapy. It isn't. But it holds the line until morning, and some weeks holding the line is everything.
We know because our cars did the same for us. They took us somewhere quiet when the world was too loud, and somewhere loud when it was too quiet to outrun our own thoughts. Sometimes the car was the only thing that showed up.
But that escape is a band-aid on a bullet wound. A car can carry you through the night. It can't carry you forever. What fixes it is people. Someone who's never heard your story but knows the look in your eyes. That's why No Love No Lift exists: a car community that actually gives a fuck, about the builds and about the person driving them
So drive. Build the thing. Stay out too late on a Tuesday. Then come to a meet, stand next to someone whose hands are as dirty as yours, and say one true sentence out loud.
That's the whole ask.
No Love. No Lift. Nowhere specific on the GPS.
Because where you were going was never the point.
